Description
Thermic Stable Silicone Oil
A specialty lubricating oil based on phenyl silicone fluid, characterized by high thermal stability and nearly constant viscosity over a wide temperature range. It is highly water-repellent, oxidation resistant and features very low evaporation.
The product shows good solubility in many organic solvents, including mineral oils, aromatics and aliphatics. It has low surface tension (high spreading capability) and excellent lubricating properties for metal-plastic combinations.
Due to its low volatility and low flammability, this oil is particularly suitable for high-temperature oil baths, as well as for special lubrication and electronic applications. It is used in high-temperature hydraulic systems, inertial guidance systems, precision timing devices, photographic equipment, damping fluids for gauges and fluid springs, specialty shock absorbers and load cell applications.
Compared to dimethyl silicone fluids, it offers improved lubricity, oxidation resistance, thermal stability and shear strength.
